Three teenage girls from different classes of society. Different in many ways. Yet similar as they grow into womanhood, struggle to find their identities, and make difficult decisions that are not without consequences.
Gina comes from an affluent family. She's beautiful, talented and on her way to a promising future. But her desire to grow up fast leads her down a road of regret with no u-turn in sight.
Nicky lives in poverty. Her alcoholic mother can't keep a job and can't get sober. Alone, Nicky seeks out companionship, but decisions that are based on loneliness could change her life forever.
Shelly's family is middle class. She has all the material things she needs. But with a mother that expects perfection scholastically and religiously and a father who really hasn't much interest in either, she looks for comfort and understanding in all the wrong ways and finds herself more alone than ever.
